Grant loves theatre and is passionate about helping continue to build the Church Mice Players success within the community. With over 35 years of leadership and business experience, as well as hands on participation in several theatrical productions, Grant is committed to the development of artistic talent and the growth and stability of this fantastic organization.

Has been a member of Churchmice since 1994. His long standing acting career has fully been blended with being able to be apart such amazing shows thru the years. He is very excited to see the next couple years and the amazing talent coming up and the talent that grows each year.

Don has been involved with Churchmice almost since the beginning. He wasn’t in the first productions, but personally knows people that were. He’s been involved in more shows than he can remember, both on and off the stage. He returned to the board in 2018 after a lengthy hiatus. Some of his favourite memories of Churchmice are from recent productions where he’s been able to participate with his wife Nola and children Emma and Marta.

Theo Thirsk began his adventure into community theatre with Rosalind Ag Society (1991) and was involved with the Kelsey Dinner Theatre (1992-2017). Theo joined the Churchmice Players Society February 28, 1994 setting lights for Sound of Music. Theo has been involved with CMP since doing several tasks but very seldom appearing on stage. He is encouraged the way CMP is growing and new people are getting involved.

Sheila has been a member of Churchmice for 30 years. Most of her time has been spent on stage performing but in recent years she has stepped away from the stage to work behind the scenes. She has been a board member for 1 year.

Janine was encouraged to join Churchmice about 6 years ago, definitely not in the area of performing. Her place is behind the scenes. Some of her first contributions were putting up posters for Mary Poppins and helping to paint the stage for Jesus Christ Superstar. Since then she has helped with marketing and become a board member, serving on the fund development and policy committees. Outside of Churchmice Janine is passionate about genealogy and gardening.

Ashley has been an active member of Churchmice players since 1994. She has a passion for the arts and a love for the Camrose community. She is a mother of 3 and currently works as an RN at St. Marys Hospital.

Wendy’s life with Churchmice Players began with volunteering to help paint the set for “On Golden Pond”, even while the crew was practicing on it, at the old Senior Centre in Camrose. She was made to feel very welcome and capable of creating the landscape mural on the largest framed canvas I had ever seen until then. I also learned that masking tape fills many purposes on set. A few years passed, and once again, she was asked and happily accepted to help with the set, sometimes with assistant designing, painting, stage set up and take down, and even stage hand. As an interior designer, she truly enjoyed seeing the effects that position and lighting make on the colours she put down. While she has braved the on-stage world, she is definitely more comfortable behind the curtain than in front.

With a love of song and dance, I have been blessed to be a part of four musicals with Churchmice - Jesus Christ Superstar, Mamma Mia, Chicago and Beauty and the Beast. This year, I went back to my roots as a drama student, with a part in the fall drama production of The Bold, The Young and The Murdered. I enjoy being a part of the Churchmice community on the stage. I look forward to being a part of the board as a director as well.

Jenna has been part of Churchmice since 2007, and has considered it family ever since. In recent years, she started helping with a bit of behind-the-scenes work in addition to performing, and joined the board in 2023. She loves being on stage, and is looking forward to seeing what the future brings for Churchmice.

Lisa's life changed forever when she joined Churchmice in 2018 where she met an entire theatre family including her husband, David. Lisa is a social worker and lives in Camrose with her hubby and son. It brings Lisa great joy to be involved in the performing arts both on stage and as a member of the Churchmice board.

I have been a member of Churchmice Players since auditioning for Chicago many moons ago. Over the years, I have helped out as a choreographer for the Addam’s Family and Chicago. My credits have included joining the ensemble in Rock of Ages and sharing the role of the Wardrobe in Beauty and the Beast. Most recently, I had the honour of directing The Little Mermaid, which was an absolute blast!
